Crabgirl & I 036: Birthday

It was meant to be Crabgirls birthday a couple of weeks ago but I forgot. I've been drawing this comic strip for over a year now.

Crabgirl's father is featured in this one. Although with Crabgirl being imaginary you can't really say it's a genetic link.
I was originally going to go with the doddery old bearded man style father but I went for something more bizarre.
 He is meant to be a sea monster but rather than the giant squid or serpent cliche I thought something vaguely mammalian was more interesting. Like he's not really kitted out for the sea but he lumbers along the ocean floor tenaciously and relentlessly. Also I find Greek Style masks scary. I figure her dad stole the mask from some important undersea fella.
