Several months ago I accidently killed a magpie in a dispute over an interesting twig. The magpie community shunned me as would be expected- after all I was pretty unapologetic about my part in his death. I saw the twig first.
However it would seem that recently other birds have started to avoid me. Chickens cross the road when they see me coming and pigeons poop on cars and statues then post them through my letter box. Gangs of storks gather round my house and sharpen their beaks menacingly.

I am a pariah to bird kind.

That is why I have decided to make a political move for my own safety. I am marrying into a cat family. Hopefully as common enemies to birdkind I will be kept safe from the feathered menace.
Learning the ways and means of cat culture is turning out to be pretty difficult though. Did you know they have 14 words for 'licking your own butt' alone.
